The browser is open source and features a lightweight design and simple controls. The browser is based around the WebKit browser engine which is also used by Apple in their Safari web browser.

Overall I’ve been very impressed by the speed that Chrome renders a web page. It only uses a small amount of system memory compared to Internet Explorer and has a very nice, uncluttered interface. The quality of the new Google web browser should ensure it becomes a very popular choice.
