Brand new website and logo for Weymouth Web Design
« Back to News Homepage - Tuesday, September 1st, 2009
This month marks the 5th anniversary of Weymouth Web Design being in business and to celebrate we’ve designed a brand new website and logo to give us a fresh new image. Our new site is less corporate and designed to be full of colour and nice little design touches.
We’ve been looking back over the previous designs we’ve used over the last five years for Weymouth Web Design and have put some screenshots below of how our brand has developed.
Current Design (2009)
Our current website has taken several months to complete but we think it has been well worth it!
The new logo features a colourful magic wand on a dark purple space background. The colours play a big role in the design with lots of highlights, glows and starburst effects. We’ve also condensed the amount of pages and content by 50% to allow us to focus more on our portfolio and key services.

2008 Design
Our last design launched in May 2008 and was designed mainly to make our site easier to navigate. We divided the website in to sections based around Web Design, Graphic Design, Hosting and Domain Names. We also tried to make the site visually attractive and easy on the eye.

2006 Design
Our 2006 design had been online for around 2 years and has worked very well for us. The design featured our orange orb icon and some Flash animation in the header. Looking back on this design it will be fondly remembered but we feel our new design is easier to navigate and has a more consistent design style.

2005 Design
This next design dates back to 2005 and was used for a couple of years. As you can see, it is much like the above 2006 design but this one feels a little bit cluttered and not as sleek and smart as its successor.

2004 Design
Lastly, this design dates all the way back to 2004 and was our first attempt at a portfolio website. It was one of the first websites we designed so is not up to the high standards we set ourselves today! This design only lasted a few months and was used mainly to test the water when we were setting up our business.
